This richly textured Buddha statue is finished in a soft weathered grey-white patina, accented with gilded highlights that pick out the robe's engraved details for a striking antique effect. Cast in brass, the figure sits in a relaxed seated pose with the right arm extended downward, hand resting near the knee, while the left hand holds a small alms bowl in the lap. The robe covers one shoulder and is densely worked with scrollwork, floral medallions, and cloud-motif engraving, with gold picking out the sash, hem borders, and decorative bands so the pattern reads clearly against the muted stone-toned base coat. The face carries a naturally weathered greenish-grey tone with a pointed ushnisha finial, calm downcast eyes, and elongated earlobes. The figure rests on an oval base carved with a lotus petal band and a Greek key-style border at the rim, each petal tipped in gold. This aged, hand-finished look brings an heirloom character well suited to meditation spaces, altars, or curated decor collections.

Care Instructions

Clean only with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the natural shine. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, or detergents, as these can damage the brass finish.

Brass is a natural metal and may tarnish or darken slightly over time when exposed to air and moisture - this is a normal characteristic of brass and not a manufacturing defect. To restore shine, use a brass polish or a mild solution of lemon and salt, gently rub with a soft cloth, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity to help prevent tarnishing.
