This handsome brass jar features a dramatically flared, trumpet-shaped mouth engraved with a band of pointed petal and foliate motifs, giving the piece striking presence right at the rim. A single looped ring handle rises from the shoulder for easy lifting or hanging. Below the flared neck, the rounded body is densely covered in a leafy foliate engraving, separated by a narrow dashed band from a distinctive twisted rope-and-leaf vine motif that wraps the widest point of the jar. A lower register of fine vertical leaf detailing completes the design before the piece settles onto small decorative feet. Hand-finished in warm brass throughout, this substantial jar makes a dramatic floor or pedestal piece for an entryway, living room, or garden-inspired display.

Care Instructions

Clean only with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the natural shine. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, or detergents, as these can damage the brass finish.

Brass is a natural metal and may tarnish or darken slightly over time when exposed to air and moisture - this is a normal characteristic of brass and not a manufacturing defect. To restore shine, use a brass polish or a mild solution of lemon and salt, gently rub with a soft cloth, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity to help prevent tarnishing.
