This striking tall brass jar takes an amphora-inspired silhouette, its generous rounded body rising to a tall, fluted neck finished with a flared rim. Twin bird-shaped handles arch gracefully from the neck down to the shoulder, each finished with a curved beak and finely detailed head. The body is organized into a rich sequence of horizontal engraved bands: fine vertical fluting at the neck gives way to a flowing wave pattern, a dense floral and leaf register, a fish-scale textured band, and a lower border of fine teardrop petals, each separated by narrow dashed or dotted lines. This layered, richly detailed engraving gives the piece real sculptural presence from base to rim. Hand-finished in warm brass throughout, this substantial jar makes a dramatic floor or pedestal piece for an entryway, living room, or garden-inspired display.

Care Instructions

Clean only with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the natural shine. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, or detergents, as these can damage the brass finish.

Brass is a natural metal and may tarnish or darken slightly over time when exposed to air and moisture - this is a normal characteristic of brass and not a manufacturing defect. To restore shine, use a brass polish or a mild solution of lemon and salt, gently rub with a soft cloth, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity to help prevent tarnishing.
