This dramatic bodhisattva head bust is finished in a deep weathered verdigris green, its aged textured surface contrasted beautifully against a tall, ornate crown left in warm gold-orange tones. Cast in brass, the face carries a serene, downcast expression with softly lidded eyes and a calm brow, framed by elaborate looped ear ornaments and long drop earrings finished in matching gold. The crown itself is the piece's centerpiece, rising in a tiered flame-shaped silhouette dense with scrollwork, a central jeweled medallion, and a curling finial at the top, flanked by winged side ornaments that sweep out from the temples. The reverse of the piece continues the sculptural detail, its finely combed vertical texture and a sash-tied ribbon motif visible at the back of the neck. Sitting on a rounded pedestal base, this richly textured, two-tone piece brings gallery-level presence to devotional spaces or curated decor collections.

Care Instructions

Clean only with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the natural shine. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, or detergents, as these can damage the brass finish.

Brass is a natural metal and may tarnish or darken slightly over time when exposed to air and moisture - this is a normal characteristic of brass and not a manufacturing defect. To restore shine, use a brass polish or a mild solution of lemon and salt, gently rub with a soft cloth, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity to help prevent tarnishing.
