This finely detailed bodhisattva statue depicts a four-armed deity seated in meditation, hand-painted in soft golden-yellow with ivory highlights on the face and maroon accents at the shoulders and lap. Cast in brass, the two primary hands are joined together at the heart in anjali mudra, while the upper right hand is raised holding a strand of prayer beads and the upper left holds the stem of a blossoming lotus at shoulder height. The figure wears an ornate foliate crown topped with a small flame finial, with floral ear ornaments and a scalloped coral-toned collar framing the face. The robe and jewelry are picked out in fine engraved detail across the chest and arms, while the legs are draped in a solid maroon-painted cloth for contrast against the golden torso. The figure sits atop a lotus petal base rendered in a warm gold tone with a deep scalloped petal border. This graceful, symbolically rich piece suits devotional altars or as a striking decorative focal point.

Care Instructions

Clean only with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the natural shine. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, or detergents, as these can damage the brass finish.

Brass is a natural metal and may tarnish or darken slightly over time when exposed to air and moisture - this is a normal characteristic of brass and not a manufacturing defect. To restore shine, use a brass polish or a mild solution of lemon and salt, gently rub with a soft cloth, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity to help prevent tarnishing.
