This finely detailed crowned Buddha statue is finished in a striking antique black patina offset by warm gold highlights that trace every engraved line of the robe and crown. Cast in brass, the figure sits with the right hand raised at the chest in vitarka mudra, the teaching gesture, its fingers gently curved, while the left arm rests along the leg beneath the robe. The robe drapes over one shoulder and is densely engraved with small floral medallions picked out in gold against the dark base tone, continuing down across the crossed legs. The face is calm and composed, topped with a tall pointed crown decorated in a delicate floral lattice pattern and finished with a small dark finial. Elongated earlobes with drop ornaments frame either side of the face. The figure sits on a tiered double-lotus base, its rounded upper petals giving way to a wider band of pointed lotus petals below, all rendered in the same rich black-and-gold palette. This finely worked, two-tone piece brings a refined devotional presence to any altar or display setting.

Care Instructions

Clean only with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the natural shine. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, or detergents, as these can damage the brass finish.

Brass is a natural metal and may tarnish or darken slightly over time when exposed to air and moisture - this is a normal characteristic of brass and not a manufacturing defect. To restore shine, use a brass polish or a mild solution of lemon and salt, gently rub with a soft cloth, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity to help prevent tarnishing.
