This warmly toned Buddha statue is finished in a rich antique copper-bronze, its burnished surface catching bright gold highlights across the face, robe trim, and crossed legs. Cast in brass, the figure sits with the right hand raised near the chest in a teaching gesture, fingers gently lifted, while the left hand rests in the lap holding a small round object. The robe drapes over one shoulder and is finely engraved along the edge with a scrolling floral border, the sash falling in a soft diagonal line across the chest. The face carries a calm, composed expression fully gilded in gold, offset by the deeper copper tone of the neck and shoulders for striking two-tone contrast. The legs are rendered in bright polished gold with subtle engraved detailing at the ankles, resting on a naturalistic asymmetrical base that echoes the piece's warm, aged character. Clean only with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the natural shine. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, or detergents, as these can damage the brass finish.
Brass is a natural metal and may tarnish or darken slightly over time when exposed to air and moisture - this is a normal characteristic of brass and not a manufacturing defect. To restore shine, use a brass polish or a mild solution of lemon and salt, gently rub with a soft cloth, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity to help prevent tarnishing.
